Every first saturday of the month (openinghours: 9.00 am - 7.00 pm) the local farmers' market is held in the centre of Florence on Piazza della Repubblica. 44 local farmers (of wich 21  are biofarmers) are communicating and presenting their own unique products.

Directly from the farm: Wine, Olive oil, truffels but also meat, pasta, vegetables and fruit and lots, lots more of wonderful things the Tuscan sun has been offering since decades! You can find the best of the best on the 'Mercatale' on Piazza della Repubblica in Florence, again every first saturday of the month.

Brand new Gucci museum in Florence

On the 26th of september the brand new Gucci museum will be opening it's doors to the public. The museum is located in the 'Palazzo della Mercatanzia' wich lays on the ever famous and central square 'Piazza della Signoria'. The new Gucci museum will not only show accessories and clothing but also photo's , images and some of the special creations the Italian fashion house made, like the Gucci Cruiser Bicycle.

90 years of Guccio Gucci
Gucci will celebrate his first 90 years in Florence, where the brand was created byGuccio Gucci  in 1921. Will Madonna and Jennifer Lopez be part of the big opening event on the 26th of september? We will probably not know untill the very last moment. But what we do know is,  that after the opening ceremony, there will be a very exclusive dinner party in the beautiful 'Sala dei 500' at the Palazzo Vecchio (Palazzo della Signoria), the townhall of Florence.

The Gucci Museum
The museum will occupy 3 floors and cover around 1.700 square meters. A big part of the museum is dedicated to the world of horse sports, a big inspiration to Guccio Gucci - think about the horse bits that show on almost any Gucci bag - . Besides the items related to the world of horse sports, you can see clothes that where especially designed for the rich and famous,  a lot of beautiful photo's and  enjoy the extremely rich archive of vintage items that has never before been accessible to public viewing!
